This Privacy Policy explains how Personal Best Athletics (“Personal Best,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use our website at giveyourpersonalbest.com (including our online and team stores), the Personal Best Athletics retail app, and the PB Team app (together, the “Services”).
Information we collect
- Account and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses when you create an account, place an order or contact us.
- Order information: the products you buy, sizes, order history, and team or school order details.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment processor (Authorize.Net). We do not store full card numbers.
- PB Team app content: the name you enter when you join with an invite code, your school, team and role, and the messages, photos and polls you post in team chat.
- Fitness and wellness information (PB Team): foods, exercises, lifts and body weight you choose to log. If you allow it, the app reads steps, active energy, workouts and weight from Apple Health. Apple Health data is used only to show it to you in the app. It is never used for advertising and never sold or shared with third parties.
- Device permissions: camera and photo access are used only when you choose to take or share a photo. Calendar access is used only to add team events you choose.
- Basic technical information: such as browser type and pages visited on our website, used to operate and secure the site.
How we use information
- To process and deliver orders, store pickups, team orders and quotes.
- To operate your account, team rooms, fundraisers and app features.
- To provide customer service and send order and account messages.
- To run our PB ELITE rewards program.
- To keep the Services safe, including reviewing reported content in team chat.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
No selling and no tracking
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and our apps do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Our apps contain no advertising.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Services (such as payment processing, shipping carriers, website hosting and product vendors that ship your order), only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law. In the PB Team app, what you post in a team room is visible to the other members of that room.
Children and school use
The PB Team app is invite-only and is used by schools, coaches, student athletes and parents. Accounts are created through invite codes issued by an athletic director or coach. Team chat is limited to group team rooms; there are no private direct messages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or the school. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Account deletion and your choices
- PB Team app: tap the role button at the top right, then Delete account.
- Personal Best Athletics retail app: go to My Account, then Delete Account.
- Website: email us to delete your account.
You may also email us at any time to access, correct or delete your information. We keep order records only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
